The Melbourne Stars are an Australian Twenty20 franchise cricket team, based in Melbourne, Victoria that competes in Australia's Twenty20 competition, the Big Bash League. The Stars wear a green uniform and play their home matches at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Glenn Maxwell, recently achieved the highest individual score in Big Bash League history, scoring 154* against the Hobart Hurricanes at the MCG.

The Melbourne Stars are an Australian cricket club who play in the Big Bash League, the national domestic Twenty20 competition. The club was established in 2011 as an inaugural member of the eight-club league. The Big Bash League consists of a regular season and a finals series of the top four teams. This list includes players who have played at least one match for the Stars in the Big Bash League.

In 2014-15 : Kevin Pietersen joined the Stars John Hastings picked the most wickets in BBL 2014/15 (16) Finished 3rd on the points table and lost the semi-finals for the fourth consecutive season. 2015-16 : David Hussey became the Star's new captain Finished 2nd on the points table and lost the Final. 2016-17 : Ben Hilfenhaus joined the squad Finished 4th on the points table and lost the semi-finals. 2018-19 : Glenn Maxwell became the latest Melbourne Stars captain Dwayne Bravo, Sandeep Lamichhane and Liam Plunkett joined the Stars Finished 4th on the points table and lost the Final. 2019-20 : Haris Rauf and Dale Steyn joined the Melbourne Stars Marcus Stoinis scored the most runs in a single edition of the BBL (705) Topped the points table but couldn't clear the semi-finals barrier yet again
